The Port in the Storm

Sitting over a cup of coffee with my mother, we were talking about "family" and how it should be celebrated. As we chatted, she shared what Holy Spirit had dropped into her spirit the week before as she went about her day. She said, "the phrase - 'Port in the storm' just appeared out of nowhere in my mind." As she spoke this line, something erupted from a place deep within my spirit. It was a wordless groan of resonance and agreement.

Suddenly I could feel the Presence of God fill my consciousness in a wonderful way. Jesus, You are beautiful - our Life giver, our source, our safe place. Our Port in the storm, You overcome all things, endure all things, persevere through all things because of Your rich love for us.

I am still undone by the effect that this phrase had on me, and I hope never to lose the move of the Spirit that was begun in me when it was breathed.

Family is indeed an ordained vessel for the Kingdom of God, and ALL His wonderful holiness.
